(Don’t get it?)
Laura designed this costume to trick me into sharing her love of Halloween. And yes, it worked, even if I could only wear it for about 10 minutes without feeling trapped. It was by my side all evening.
Thanks to the hrwiki for making it embarrassingly easy to find the necessary drawing and sound effect. A dream fulfilled, we forge onward.
…
Hm… it appears that both entries in this blog so far have contained references to homestarrunner.com. I didn’t think it was that big a part of my life.

I used to have a web site. Many people (and by “many people”, I mean “a large proportion of the small number of people who ever visited it”) have commented that it is woefully out of date. Most recently, my former boss Dave, over a scrumptious dinner at Kabob & Curry, pointed out that you couldn’t even tell from my site that I’m working at EnerNOC now (and really enjoying it, by the way, which is why I haven’t updated my resume yet — but I’m a good corporate citizen and I’ll get to it eventually). Now that I look at Dave’s site again, I see he’s not in the best position to throw stones; but perhaps he also has a secretly up to date site hiding in some forgotten corner of the web.
Now I have a blog. I’ve resisted setting up a blog for some time because, well, I’m not excited about sharing the chatter of my daily life, and I’m not sure how much profound writing I can find time for, what with the Providence->Boston commute and all. On the other hand, I do enjoy the chatter of all my friends’ blogs (blogroll coming soon, maybe)… and I have been looking for inspiration to do more writing.
So, there we have it. First post, and quite possibly last. But at least now if I have the inspiration to keep a personal site up to date, it’ll be dead simple.
